New Illinois Battery Law

A new Illinois law requires all household batteries to be recycled through special collection programs or drop-offs. The law is intended to prevent fires and explosions caused by lithium batteries, keep hazardous materials out of landfills, and make recycling easy with free, convenient drop-off locations.
