Storm Sewer Project

2023 Storm Sewer Project

General work consists of stormwater utility removal and replacement, including all structures, pipe, and outfall locations, and landscape and driveway restoration.  Over time, storm utilities along the proposed streets have slowly degraded and are in need of replacement.  Outdated pipe material will be replaced with reinforced concrete pipe.  Ineffective manholes, catch basins, and inlets due to wear and tear over time will also be replaced to promote drainage.

Project Updates:

9/22

Work continues on Leahy moving from Hodges towards Stillwell.  Work on Stillwell will not begin until the pipe is completely installed on Leahy.  Once work begins on Stillwell, (which will be during the week of September 25 and/or week of October 2) the crews will begin on the east side of Stillwell beginning at Leahy and ending at Elder. The crews will then move to the west side of Stillwell and begin at Leahy and end at Elder.

9/6

The rest of this week (9-6 through 9-8) we will be working on Leahy moving toward 16th Street. Next week (9-11 through 9-15) we will be working on the other side of Leahy working our way South.  So far we have installed 180 Feet of 30-inch Reinforced Concrete Pipe, 330 feet of 24-inch Concrete Pipe and (5) new manholes.

8/25 - Driveways Impacted:

If you have saw-cuts going across your driveway apron, you will be impacted. The contractor will make his best effort to contact you with ample time to move your car. If for some reason you can't be reached, your Driveway will not be compromised for more than an hour. The contractor is removing the old storm sewer, replacing with new and backfilling as they go to minimize as much inconvenience as possible.  Please also avoid parking on the street also due to the construction.
