Construction Code of Conduct Guidelines

The City of Oakbrook Terrace expects all construction personnel to follow all rules and regulations.

  • Be a Good Neighbor
    • Do not trespass
    • Keep the noise level down
    • Use onsite portable toilet
    • No open fires or burning
  • Work Hours
    • Monday thru Friday 7 a.m. – 6 p.m.
    • Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
  • Keep Oakbrook Terrace Clean
    • Keep streets and walks free of mud and debris
    • Wash down vehicles before leaving site
    • Do not litter – use dumpster
    • Keep erosion measures in place
    • Do not rinse cement trucks onto pavement or into sewers
  • Obey Traffic Rules
    • Park in designated areas, not on parkway
    • All construction vehicles to be parked on one side of the street only
    • Drive safely – watch for children
  • Respect the Environment
    • Follow the stormwater management plan
    • Protect parkway trees

Violations may result in Stop Work Order, Ticket or Revoked Permit
